Retino-A cream containing 0.05% tretinoin is used to treat acne but also used to reduce and gradually remove the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, age lines, uneven skin tone, sunspots, hyperpigmentation, and roughness of facial skin.
What is Retino-A® 0.05% tretinoin cream?
Retino-A 0.05 tretinoin cream also known as Retinol, Retinoic Acid, concentrated Vitamin A cream – is an alternative to famous Renova, Revita and Retin-A creams. Retino-A tretinoin cream has two different concentrations: mild strength 0.05% and moderate strength 0.1% of all-trans-retinoic-acid (tretinoin).
How to Use Tretinoin cream 0.05% :
- Wash your hands before applying Retinol 0.05% cream.
- Gently clean the affected skin with a mild or soap-less cleanser and pat dry.
- Use your fingertips to apply a small amount of cream (about the size of a pea) in a thin layer, usually once daily at bedtime.
- Peeling is a normal side effect while using this cream. You might experience redness and peeling while using this cream. You can reduce the usage to alternative days or 3 times a week when this happens.
- While starting your tretinoin journey, it is essential that you simplify your skincare routine until your skin is adjusted to it especially if you are experiencing any skin sensitivity. Also, it is suggested that you do not use any potential irritants like peels, toners and serums for few days until your skin is ready for you to reintroduce these products gradually into your routine.
- SPF is very important part of your skincare routine because it not only protects your skin from sun damage, but it can also undo some of the skin benefits provided by the treatments. We recommend at least SPF 50 and make sure you reapply sunscreen every 2 hours during the daytime.
